Sado-San, a 20-year-old rapper and frequent Yoh the Shaolin collaborator, new 13-minute
mixtape project plays more like a Side-A grainy vinyl record. It isn’t divided by individual tracks; instead it is just non-stop music with golden samples that take you back to an era of true “soul music”. If anyone picks out any of the songs from Ikpeazu send me a link to them. Black Bradford handles the entire production on this one and it features rapping contributions from ENxVE and MOONSPEAR just to name a few. To simply classify Ikpeazu as a mixtape or an EP would be restricting it a box it has transcended. This is music art. It is by far one of the most creative projects I’ve heard this year. Remember once you press play, there is no breaks just a musical odyssey on Ikpeazu.
