Museache Presents: Dvvinci

I recently had a chance to chat with Ritchie King aka Dvvinci. He’s a very interesting dude reigning from South Jersey. His vintage-esque photography work has caught my attention recently. Many people try to achieve this style of work since the rise of entities such as Street Ettiquete; however, not many are able to capture the pure aesthetic. Dvvinci’s work embodies the street style life holistically with his stunning models, ill fashion, and a simple yet clean presentation. You can see more of his stuff and read the interview after the jump.

My name’s Ritchie King and I was born in raised in South Jersey.

What type of photographer would you consider yourself now and where do you hope to be with photography in the future?

I’m a editorial and commercial photographer that shoots a wide variety of different things but I do enjoy fashion portraiture a lot. I hope to be in a good position where I can fund my living, travel and people watch.

  • Who and what do you consider your biggest inspirations to your work?

My biggest inspirations started off pretty broad from fashion to landscapes and then I figured it wasn’t such a bad thing having so many inspirations. It’s all the little things that people miss that inspire me the most…kinda like the little blonde arm hairs most people have.

What type of music are you listening to right now?

I’m a little unorthodox from most of my friends and colleagues, I’m currently listening to a lot of future sound beats like “Mr. Carmack” and “PlueStarFox”. My favorite producer out now is Kaytranada, great sounds and good vibes.

You seem to be very into fashion, what brands and styles are you into most right now?

I’m more into neutral styles. I don’t really lean towards any specific brands. I look more behind the marketing a brand puts out, currently Urban Outfitters and American Apparel have my interests.

Anything you want to say?

Live, be happy, enjoy yourself. People are so concerned with thinking outside the box they forget all the little things sitting at the bottom. Life is a pretty big box, you don’t necessarily have to spend all your time trying to climb out of it. Story of my life.
