Get Familiar: Sachin Teng
“Art is less a craft than it is a language. Sometimes things get lost in translation, so I spend most of my time finding the artifacts people have left behind.” Sachin Teng is a young illustrator and graphic designer originally from New York now LA based (man, I really need to be out there for start-ups). It has been a while since I have seen the fellow Behance freelancer until I spotted a magazine post “HIV Testing / A Cure for AIDS” on the theNewRuplic. Don’t ask how I ended up there. Just check out my man’s work underneath and be inspired!
“My specialty I’d say is the dialogue. I always think about what my work wants to say and then I design to communicate that feeling, because when your work has a conversation it isn’t necessarily a narrative.” Teng’s work has always been so amusing because of how he crafts the juxtaposition of a flat illustration and 3D elements. The elements give it much more to look at then something that is just flat.
